GHK-Cu
A copper-binding tripeptide first isolated from human plasma.
MW 401.91 CAS 89030-95-5 ≥99.0% (HPLC)
A copper-binding tripeptide first isolated from human plasma.
What it is
GHK is a tripeptide first isolated from human plasma in 1973. It binds copper(II) with high affinity, and the resulting complex, GHK-Cu, is the form most often used in research.
GHK-Cu has been studied in cell-culture and animal models of wound repair, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and skin biology. Gene-expression studies in cultured cells have reported broad effects on transcription, making it a subject of interest in tissue-remodelling research.
The lyophilized powder is blue, as expected for the copper complex.
