Quality & Testing
How every batch is synthesised, purified, independently tested and released.
A batch is released only when its data matches the specification
Purity claims are easy to print and hard to verify. Our approach is simple: every production batch is tested by an independent analytical laboratory, the results are compared against a written specification, and the full report is published against the batch number printed on the vial.
Batches that fail any test are rejected, not discounted or blended.
From synthesis to your bench
Synthesis
Peptides are made by Fmoc solid-phase synthesis at contracted facilities. Each order is checked against our master sequence record, including modifications such as acetylation, amidation and disulfide bridges.
Purification
Crude peptide is purified by preparative reverse-phase HPLC to remove truncated and deletion sequences, then counter-ion exchanged where the compound requires it.
Independent testing
A sample from every batch goes to an independent laboratory for analytical HPLC (purity) and electrospray mass spectrometry (identity). Supplier certificates are never used on their own.
Review and release
We compare the results with the specification below. Only batches that pass are released for sale, and the report is published against the batch number.
Fill, freeze, ship
Released batches are filled into sealed glass vials, lyophilized, stored at −20 °C and shipped with cold packs.
Release specification
Applies to every peptide in the catalog unless the product page states otherwise.
| Test | Method | Acceptance |
|---|---|---|
| Purity | Analytical RP-HPLC, UV 214 nm | ≥99.0% for peptides under 20 residues; ≥98.0% for longer sequences |
| Identity | ESI mass spectrometry | Observed mass within ±1 Da of theoretical |
| Appearance | Visual | White to off-white lyophilized powder (blue for copper complexes) |
| Fill | Gravimetric | Stated amount, ±5% |
What every report contains
HPLC chromatogram
The full trace with integrated peaks, retention times and the calculated purity, not just a single number.
Mass spectrum
The ESI-MS spectrum with observed and theoretical masses, confirming the sequence is the one on the label.
Laboratory details
The testing laboratory, analysis date, method summary and the batch number the results apply to.
