Research overview
Sermorelin is GHRH(1-29)-NH₂, the N-terminal 29 residues of growth hormone–releasing hormone. This fragment retains the full biological activity of the 44-residue native hormone at the GHRH receptor.
It has a long history as a research tool for studying pituitary GHRH-receptor signalling and somatotroph function, and serves as the reference sequence for later analogues such as modified GRF (1-29).
