Research overview
Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-residue, N-terminally acetylated peptide first isolated from thymosin fraction 5, a calf thymus extract.
It has been studied extensively for its effects on T-cell maturation and on innate immune signalling, including activation through Toll-like receptors on dendritic cells, in cell-culture and animal models.
